Effective immediately, enercity customers with select electricity and natural gas plans will receive free 24/7 home protection—developed and operated by Mehrwerk.
enercity, one of Germany’s largest municipal energy companies, is expanding its range of services to include a free home protection service for residential customers. In collaboration with Mehrwerk, Europe’s leading platform for data-driven value-added solutions, the company has developed ZuhausePlus—a comprehensive protection and service package that enercity customers with select electricity and natural gas plans receive free of charge and at no additional cost.
ZuhausePlus addresses a growing need: homeowners and renters alike want reliable support for everyday mishaps and emergencies—from lost keys to burst pipes. This new service fills that gap while providing enercity customers with tangible added value that goes far beyond simply supplying energy.
The service is available 24/7, 365 days a year. Among other things, ZuhausePlus offers emergency assistance for burst pipes, lockouts, roof damage, pest infestations, and computer data recovery, as well as a two-year warranty extension for electrical appliances beyond the manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage ranges from 500 to 2,000 euros per claim. In addition, ZuhausePlus offers a lost-and-found service with a reward for the finder. Customers whose homes become temporarily uninhabitable due to damage also receive assistance with hotel, childcare, and pet care expenses.
Activation can be completed in three steps: Customers sign up online for a FixStrom 18 or FixGas 18 plan, activate ZuhausePlus using a personal activation link, and then receive a welcome package—the free service period begins at this point. The ZuhausePlus ServiceCenter is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hotline 0511 430 6929; in emergencies, it is also available outside these hours.
